Privacy policy

This page explains what we do with your information when you use the OneUp Series website and play in our tournaments. Your information is held by OneUp Series, Giza, Egypt. To ask us anything about it, message us on WhatsApp on 012 1119 4977.

What we collect

• Your account: name, username, email address, password (stored hashed, never in readable form), and whether your email is verified. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google instead of a password.
• Your player profile: display name, username, city, date of birth (optional), profile photo, and whether your profile is public.
• Registration details: your mobile and WhatsApp numbers, your partner's or team's details, an emergency contact name and number, and any notes you add. These are visible to organizers only.
• Payments: the amount, reference, method and status, and the screenshot you upload as proof.
• Results: matches, placements and points, which are public.
• Technical: server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept for security and debugging, and a session cookie that keeps you signed in.

Why we use it

• To run registrations, check payments and confirm your place.
• To publish results, rankings and public profiles — the heart of the series.
• To email you about your registrations, payments, tournament changes and results.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and keep records of admin actions.
• To meet our accounting and legal obligations.

What is public and what is not

Public: your display name, username, city, profile photo, results, points and ranking. You can hide your profile page in your account settings; your name still appears in results and rankings.

Never public: your email address, phone numbers, date of birth, emergency contact, payment screenshots and any notes you send us. Payment screenshots are stored outside the public web root and are shown only to you and to the organizers.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. It is handled on our behalf by:

• Hostinger — the server where the website and its database run.
• Google — the account we send the site's emails from, and, only if you choose it, Google sign-in. Tournament maps also load from Google when you view them.

We share information with anyone else only if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Account, profile, registrations, results and points: while your account exists, and afterwards in anonymized form where they are part of published results.
• Payment records and the screenshots you upload: 5 years, to meet accounting rules.
• Server logs: 30 days.

Your choices

• Edit your profile, photo and contact details any time under your account.
• Ask us to correct or delete your data, or to send you a copy, by messaging us on WhatsApp. We answer within 30 days. Some records we must keep, such as payment records and published results.
• Deleting your account removes your login and contact details; results already published stay in the rankings so past tournaments still add up.

Cookies

We use a session cookie so you stay signed in, and a short-lived cookie for sign-in security. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. Google may set its own cookies when you sign in with Google or view a map.

Children

Players under 18 register through a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the information given.

Security

Passwords are hashed, the site is served over HTTPS, uploads are re-encoded and stripped of metadata (including location), payment screenshots are private, and every admin action is logged. No system is perfect: if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for anything significant, tell you by email.
